Animations
An animation is formed by an image with an object that is moving. The animation id formed by several frames (pictures), positioned in a sequence. People tryed to “capture” the motion ecen in the paleolitic time.
When the cinematography deceloped, the animations started to develop too. The stop-motion was one of the first techniques developed to create animations. Georges Melies was the one that created or bether said discovered the technique when he noticed that if he is filming with his camera and then stop it when it is rolling and change the position of the object that is being filmed, it will appear a motion. The first movie that used the stop motion technique was called “Matches: An Appeal” and was released in 1899.
But the first man to create animations was J. Stuart Blackton because he had the idea to draw several images in a black board and then fil them with the rolling camera. With the help of the stop motion techinique, the drawings are seen like they are moving are reshaping themselves. Later other people tryed to create animations, like Emile Cohl and Windsor McCay. Windsor McCay for example used some oictures that were drawn on paper (and for that he needed the help of several artists) ans so he created many films, like “Little Nemo” or “The Sinking of the Lusitania”. This is how the cartoons were born, and John Randolph Bray was one of the first animation producers.
In this traditional animation the movement is seen because each of the frames, represented by photographs, pictures or drawings is a little bit different from the other. “Pinocchio ” and “Animal Farm” were famous films created like this.
Later computer animation started to create new kids of animations. With the help of this new technique, the animations are created using the computer programs. The computer animations creates 2D animations and 3D animation. For example Flas animations are created with the help of the program named Adobe Flash. The advantage of this type of animations is that the computer does all the owrk for the animation producer an the animation has less then one Mb memory. This is usefull because many series were created, each one of them with multiple episodes and they were more easy to upload to the internet. The first cartoon that was a Flash animation was released on the web in 1997 and was called “The Goddamn George Liquor Program .”
